When I began playing the Steelpan it was evident that the Steelpan was a novelty to many. It has been my desire to educate children and adults about music and the Steelpan, thus enhancing their social relationship with the world. There is a need to empower our children which I feel should be exercised at home as well as in the classroom. Music is a tool that provides empowerment for our children and strengthens their positive involvement to the greater community.
